Lost Dreams
Shackled to life by the prison I made
promises of love never felt, never said
cracks in each lie I so carefully laid
love in his eyes I so wrongfully read
lead to this road I so doggedly tread
Once I was young... Full of hopes, full of dreams
giving no thought to the road I might take
or smiles given freely are not what they seem
for love won to easy often is fake
mistakes that I thought I never would make
