Sunset Haiku Trio

bright rays of yellow
ride the rolling ocean waves. . . .
sun is hanging ten

sun spreads marmalade
on a toasty warm evening. . . .
the sky eats it up

day ends at the beach
twilight spills orange delight
onto the water

Oh,...okay...Hang Ten, girl....I get it now. Thanks for the explanation. I think there used to be a clothing line or T shirt company named Hang Ten too. My poor memory is waning. I like your haiku entry bc u tried to touch on more than one thot and encompassed everything PD was throwing out there! I can always expect to be mentally stretched while reading your work...Gwendolen

Such fun and inviting scenes in your triple dipple haiku, Andrea. What does hang ten reference? It sounds sooo familiar. Been very busy working and with skool...there are soooo many contests which is great...gives all these poets something fun to do. I can only enter a couple...don't even have time to post much. I will read more as time allows...great to read your work again. Luv, Gwendolen.

You sure rode off in the sunset with your haiku trio, Andrea -- these are all great, that first one's so unique and made me smile but I have to admit that 2nd one's my favorite! Oh yummmm~ marmalade skies and you went further with the toast-- that I think is just awesome! I hope this rises way Up high --see now I am laying it thick with the sun references haha-- hugs to you!

Andrea, first, thank you for your comments, sadly, the environment suffers now at a rate of 2/environment-protection-regulations/day removed by this congress....cigars all around in lobbyists backrooms....This haiku trio is the BEST haiku trio I have seen in my2+ yrs. on the soup! line 3 in the first one is awesome, along with my favorite, the 2nd. haiku! congrats ahead of time!! jimbo
