Candle

In the dark, but yet
I am the light
But yet I still see
Nothing
Stiff and still I sit in this
 world surrounded
By wax and
I sit in the dark and
Wait,
Wait till their lights
Have gone out, wait till
The darkness surrounds them
I wait for them to light
My whisk
And my stiff cold wax
Begins to slowly meld
Around me
But just before the wax
Around me melts away
Their lights turn back on,
The sun begins to rise,
And my lights goes out so
I continue to sit in
My world surrounded by wax
And I sit in the dark unable to
See
Even though I am the light
The wax that surrounds me
Stays stiff and cold
So I wait,
I wait till their lights go back out
And the sun has set
And once again
They are surrounded
By the darkness I live in
I wait for them to light my wish
And my wax to slowly melt away
So that I may also see the
Light
That brightens their day.
