About This Poem
Meadow Song
tripping through a field of wild flowers
she rushes from color to color
shrieking with delight
love child sings babbling brook
melodies while romancing
dragonflies unite
earth squirrel sentinel smiles
chirps all clear to mothers hard
at love suckling tender pups
luscious green boughs sway
and whisper gossip about
promiscuous breezes touch
raptor spies wearing wicked
talons scurry grey mouse
family with hurry
bees bumble blithely about
pretty petals blush to them
promise nectar with embrace
gentle hills wrap shelter arms
while mountain tops play
tag with puff dragon clouds
little brother nearby dabbles
in stream tadpoles dance away
young summer days
