Silhouette

Shards of shimmering and redolent recollection, of images memories and distant life actions. Long since transpired, and now nothing holds my hand, yet thoughts still swarm my mind and sway my intentions today! overlaid reflections of former events flicker, as my desires and perceived values now play their scenes to a heatless aurora of irrelevance's, halogenic in flames and spouts of unresponsiveness, unyielding mediocrity now is coupled with both the current and contemporary, we are so bereft of creativity in the veins of social life, while in the public arteries flows the stuff of nightmare and mass animosity...

Ah, I have missed out on some superbe reading, Joe! Some amazing metaphor and imagery happening here, and as you so often do, ending with somewhat of a mind probe. Sometimes we are engrossed by thoughts, while other times we just listen to feel the moment. So wishing you the best!! Love, Mikki

"Unyielding mediocrity." "Bereft of creativity." These two hit home, but realize that I am an old fart whose values - can't help myself - hearken back to the 30s and 40s, and much before that. I can no longer identify with the social whirl, neither artistically or socially. Good write, Joe. Love, daver

Really great stuff here my friend. And I agree with you whole heartedly. The things going on all around us are so frightening and it seems there is no one around to stop it. But Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled. It only goes to show prophecy is right and The King Is Indeed Coming. Great job. God Bless, JB

Fascinating prose poem here! The ending is very clear and stark. I have been a member of the American Tolkien society for the last 20 something years. They have published two chapbooks of my work. Also I write for another Tolkien magazine - Beyond Bree. Thanks for your support. Peace & blessings Matthew Anish
