SHADOWS
Along this long walk,
I find only shadows to befriend me,
Closer to me than anyone else,
letting me never alone.
Those of the past pester me still
And of the 'now' kills my solitude.
But without them never will I find
A drop of solace.
Oft I fight with my own shadows,
As they follow me everywhere,
Watching me through my mischief,
Arousing in me guilt.
Fools,I say,
who fear their own shadows;
As he the creator
Himself is our shadows.
Never letting a shade of loneliness
Ever shadow us,
They remain with us...
As the almighty never stay apart from us.
