AWAITING SPRING
Spring, with its blooms and green
Left me with yellowing leaves.
Once lush with green gaiety,
Alas! Now sheds my golden tears.
Left me a promise when it went
That it'll come back
Days passed,I grew old and weary
With no leaves to ornament I lost charm.
Hours seemed days,days were years,
But firm in belief I stood all time's tests.
And then one day,it came
Embraced me and I blossomed!
Nature answers all longings,
No waiting goes in vain
With faith it be nourished.
And lo! A spring follows every winter!
