I am a people watcher where ever I go.
I want to know the stories their faces and actions carry hidden below.
Are they sad, lonely or scared?
What is the joy shining in their eyes?
If you smile at them do they smile back?
Are they planning a wedding or a baby?
Are they walking in a crowd but look alone?
Are they trying to fit in but they don’t belong?
Watching people is my favorite past time even though sometimes you hear tidbits of conversation you didn’t want to know.
Smiling children playing with balloons.
Teenagers holding hands swinging as they go.
Mothers chasing children that seem out of control.
Children helping parents struggling with each step they take.
Young lovers looking at rings in a jewelry case.
A widow buying a black dress for a horrible day.
An elderly couple sharing coffee and cookies praying their lives are just beginning
Men pushing a shopping care when they are ready to go.
People like me sitting on a bench watching people and wonder what stories their life can bestow.
