made of gold

He's gonna come knock, knock,
knocking at her door
and if she unlocks it, he's a goner.
She really needs to let him go
she really needs to cut him loose.

He's a good man
a very good man.

A girl made of gold is meant to be alone.
A girl made of gold does just fine on her own.

She always dreamt of the day
she'd sign her left ring-finger away
to a big 'ol man
in a brand new suit.
He'd slip the ring on her hand
and promise: 'I do'.

And it would be too late for her to say:
'A girl made of gold
is meant to be alone.
A girl made of gold
does just fine on her own.'

And it would be too late for him to know.
He's gonna travel the world, let him.
Fulfill his dreams, respectfully watch.
If you care at all,
are capable of love.
Set him free...Won't you?
Set him free...

He's a good man.
A very good man...
