reverie

 yasmin khan                                        
                                                       I
                                                  write to
                                                lighten my
                                             burdened spirit
                      thrown open are floodgates of my bruised heart
                          tears blot my vision,take shape on paper
                                              emotions flow
                                               from my pen
                                                  giving
                                                  peace

    Your tetractys is so moving, Yasmin. You and I seem to write for the same reason much of the time. Most of the time, our writes allow painful feelings to escape. Sometimes though I just feel like being silly and writing humor brightens my spirits. Love, Carolyn
