Sonnet 20

To he that lives inside that magic lamp
Studded with rubies and diamonds galore
With rub, would thou remove thyself from cramp?
And give to me thine wishes I implore
With failed attempts were bright and falling stars
That scorched the earth leaving me no reward
Even that wishing well has many jars
Of pennies, yet my wishes drown ignored
Comfort this lonely man a love and bride
And dress these rags with garments stitched of wealth
Last and not least thou always shall abide
Inside my soul, thus I immortal health

Mythical magician...art thou prisoner?
Or sore servant and stubborn listener

I need a regular dose of your sonnets. They give so much pleasure in the reading and I hope you don't mind me wandering through them several times. Nobody is better.

Dear Johnny, if only we could all have access to a genie to make our dreams come true. Think of me as a fairy godmother and I will pray that you receive all the blessings you seek. Very creative and touching sonnet! Love, Carolyn
