I mean when it comes down to you
I really cannot understand
On why you keep on delaying
Your plans to marry your girlfriend
For three weeks now you’ve taken her out to dinner
And not proposing to her; it’s got to end
I always see you at work
Taking out that engagement ring and staring at it
That was your grandma’s old ring
I think you would honor her memory
If you just go and do this one thing:
Go and ask your girl to marry you
Before it’s way too late
