Sagebrush Blues

There's a special place that I hold dear in my memory
A place where there is not that many people
But the people who do live there
Are the most simple and lovely people there is

It's where the clouds are shaped like cotton candy
Where a rainbow goes from a cloud to a mountain peak
Where there is so many awesome county fairs and rodeos
And where the ranches reign supreme among the land

I promise you there is not a better place to raise a family
I wish every day I could go back to the Equality State
But with no money or job
It is of no use

I only have dreams at night
Of setting foot in Cheyenne
Watching from the crowd at the Cody Rodeo
Tonight, I have the sagebrush blues

You have deamt, so have I. I often wished I lived a red Indian eco life of the 1750s. And knew no better. Say around the Great lakes . Similar dreams of many a dreamer. Ian Foley
