HOW THE BUGGER KEPT HIS JEANS

"Part with these jeans?" He said, "Hell, no! I'd sooner lose my wedding ring."
"But, My Love, they've had their day. Toss 'em! Let's buy you new blue jeans!"
My husband kept on reading the news. "Huh? What's that? You say something?"
I looked up. "Oh, help. Your wicked jeans are so tight, it's almost... obscene!"

He replied, "Like us, they're a perfect fit, like a lover who's a friend."
"Part with these jeans?" He said, "Hell, no! I'd sooner lose my wedding ring."
"That's sweet." I smiled. "But, look, there's not even enough fabric to mend."
"And those rips, stains, the frayed bottoms, and that paint...Dang it, everything!"

"I bought these jeans for our first date, do you remember, it was spring?"
"They're frayed from our many walks. The rips? Made cutting a rose bouquet."
"Part with these jeans?" He said, "Hell, no! I'd sooner lose my wedding ring."
"When I proposed, your coffee sloshed. That pledge-made stain, it chose to stay."

"And when our girl made your first mother's day card, it's that paint, right there."
"So, get rid of my hockey shirt, my socks, my jocks, my dad's watch- anything!"
"But take these jeans, and you'll break my heart, so, Baby, please, don't you dare!"
"Part with these jeans?" He said, "Hell, no! I'd sooner lose my wedding ring."
