Again

I breathe the summer air with a clear mind
The riverside breeze gives blissful respite
But looking over my shoulder I can see
My callous old self grinning wildly
            I can't evade his determination
He won't relent in the least
                 He will never back down
                     Until his mistakes
                        Are repeated
                             Again

Ah, the mistakes: but isn't that what gives us things to write about? Sometimes I think being human is a mistake. Love your poem Kyle, it probes a deeper thought.
