MadMan

many and many a year ago
he lost his love so dear
and thinking that love was his foe
he stopped loving out of fear
her smile was enough to strike him out cold
but how treacherous it was
for the love that she displayed, yet so bold
was not entirely his, it was flawed

his pain was so much more than he could bear
yet he held it tight and close
with gruff words he acted as he hadn't a care
why didn't he just propose
and now her love belonged to another
just as it always had
the smile that was his is now the other's
leaving him raving mad

There is a saying for that: He who hesitates is lost. The poor guy just didn't act fast enough!!
