Mom

From the cradle till now you have
been by my side.

From scraped knees to bruised hearts,
Your presence has been my rock,
You are always ready to help out
whenever needed.

You're the one who has given so much
to make me the person I am today.
Teaching right from wrong, to be morally
 just in all ways.

I see love in your eyes when you look at me,
and a frown when something is wrong.
Mom, the most amazing person I know ,
putting everyone else first in you're life.
I hope someday to be more like you.

Till the clock on my setting sun will close
my eyes.
I'll love you Mom.

Anne, this is a tremendous write for Mom and it just about expresses all the feeling I had for my Mom before she died. She had more love than anyone I ever knew and after 20 years I still miss her so much. Great Job and keep up the good work. Your friend,Lynn.

Thanks for your comment, Anne. I didn't catch anything today -- though I had quite a few bait stealers nibbling at my line. Didn't matter though. The important thing is I did sense that special connection with my mother while I was at sea. Love, Carolyn

Thanks for your kind words, Anne. My brother and sister live far away and I have no other family so I'll probably go fishing on Mother's Day. I can talk to my mother in heaven while I'm fishing. Feel closer to her and to heaven in general when fishing. Love, Carolyn
