Augustinianism

Love my once loved mistress
I must now there forego
A cauldron of such a lawless love
The spring of friendship with the filth of concupiscence
I beclouded its brightness with the hell of lustfulness.
Emotion gone not but the lovely sextress

A nice, Augustinian quibble! Augustine was confounded by inane, fleshly desires. You state his dilemma in a concise, profound manner. I have written a few poems on Augustine's inner turmoil. Feel free to paruse them, and to give me some feedback.
