Consigned to posterity and consternation

Why are politicans always so sure about the future being better any whichway?

whilst they are continually addressing past mistakes all day?

that were never going to happen in their future anyway!

but they never want to go back to their past either way

and why can't they just be happy with the way things are (today?)

Don't you find politicians a necessary evil? I wonder if they realize how disillusioned people are with them yet each new group slides into the same slot. Interesting insight in this Joe.

I am too disgusted. To say what I would like to say would be regretable, Joe. People need to end their complacency and take an active role in deciding their own future. Liars feed off complacency. The future will not be rosy if left in the hands of any politician. Annalise

Politicians? Humph! Humbug! They probably are happy with the way things are today, else they would try to change them. Good write. Love, daver

I'm with C.L., Joe. The pseudo psycho-babbling politicians try to paint pretty pictures of the future in efforts to be re-elected. I'm a disgruntled voter and have just dropped my party affiliation. I want a real leader, not someone who keeps telling us everything is fine. Love, Carolyn

All I know, and I'll say it again and again, they need to be kicked out of Congress! They are idiots. Keep up your politically aware poetry, Joe. LUv, andrea
