Arabesque after Twilight

Hand-clasped reverence opened to God.
Your silent nature lend angels to nod.
Writers scribble and prolific poets prod -
as one envisions your perfect face.

You can taste a raindrop before it has dried.
Console a teardrop after an infant has cried.
The music in your soul is a heartbeat that glides.
Precisioned notes flicker into place.

Your feelings soar beyond heart and time -
as a versifier stumbles 'tween space and rhyme.
When I seek an adjective to fulfill the sublime -
I will ever inhale your intoxicating grace...

Arabesque, my darling,
we'll arabesque...and catch the twilight.
