The World Out There

Trapped in a house with beautiful walls,
full of people raised, never to fall.

Laughter and tears, it all happens here,
but only from a distance, she just cant get near.

Beautiful flowers grow outside every spring,
hills with green grasses, bald eagles with wings.

Trees bud,rain falls,suns set,moons rise,
she experiences all this, but with only her eyes.

She's longing to touch, to taste this sweet life,
the freedom out there, only she sees as ripe.

Inside of her burns with a passion so strong,
it carries her burdens through days and nights long.

She tells not a soul, its her secret alone,
how she craves to be out there, its calling her home.
