A Strange Stranger

He ate my heart
He tore me apart.

I felt as dark as night
But a part of me was still bright.

I felt very bad
As if nothing I had.

He was so dear to me
But it wasn't that long to be.

By his sweet and sober words
He always had me in his world.

Looks can be deceiving
For me, it was a bit hurting.

He was a strange stranger
Who had me in danger.

But now I realized
Trusting somebody was the biggest mistake of my life.

I've liked all of your poems so far. You certaintly have a talent. It needs some refining but it is always enjoyable and thought provoking. I especially liked the 7th couplet. I would have said, "He was a strange danger. Holding me as a stranger". But that's just me as I read it. You are doing a great job. Rockman :-)

The poem was touching. I enjoyed reading it. I hope you don't feel you can't trust anyone anymore.
