Lightning Chased Thunder

Into the mist which settles upon the waters
Tempered elements connect and clash
Each vying for dominance within their domain
Lightning chases Thunder throughout forlorn skies
The harder she cracks her brilliant, whip the further he runs
In pain he roars through pitch black skies
Man stands in awe of the battle displayed
And the heavens hang low and cry pouring rain

Note: Inspired by "The perfect Storm" Very sad ending, yet, one of my favs.

Like the personification in this work. I was featured at a reading yesterday in Manhattan. It was nice and my nephew showed up with his girlfriend. Especially like"Lightning chases Thunder throughout forlorn skies. Peace & Love Matthew Anish

One of my favorite movies, too, Annalise, and now this is one of my favorite poems. I have spent many times at sea when the weather has taken a frightening turn for the worse. You describe it so well! It's a pity the crew of the Andrea Gayle were never rescued. Love, Carolyn

My dear friend, long time since I've stopped by here, but glad I did and yours is the first poem I have read, as always you astound me with your great imagery. I feel like I am in the middle of a suspense story. Great work my friend and sister. Love always, Joy (Jew)

Smile ~ What a Sweet Kind com from, "A 'Very Beautiful Lady; Lovely Annalise!!!'" ~ (cont) ~ Many Truths amid Many Lights which in turn renders this painting as a "Masterpiece;" just like the "Beautiful Artist" whom, brushed its Wonderful Canvas!!! ~ "My Love & Warmth to 'You Always' &, All You Love, 'Forever,'" Christopher! ~ Smile, "Bye Again My Dear, 'Beautiful Annalise!'":) ~

LoL! Perhaps, Thunder has been a very bad boy, Christopher! lol.: ) But we also have some ladies misbehavin' too. Thanks for making me laugh..I could have had the man chasing lighting, but then some would call it "abuse"??! ...one just can't win...but no harm is meant, my friend. Love ya! Annalise

Smile ~ I have been wondering "My Dear, 'Beautiful & Precious, Annalise Brigham!!!'" ~ How come here at this place it almost Always seems to but the Man whom is ending up upon the short end of things it so seems, My Dear, for, if its not one thing its Another??? ~ Yet, aside from These my own Humble reflections in thought, This, is a Superbly well written and Wonderfully Vivid Creation Painted In Hues of Mythologies Verse; albeit along the Parellel lines of ~ Cont:)
