JADED

An arm reaches out for a helping hand
but is knocked back by the iron fist.
Refuge sought-after but no where to be found.
Lips tell a story something is wrong
but the head does not want to hear.
Words spoken but unheard.
Eyes reveal hidden hurt and pain
but the mind refuses to feel.
Visions shown but ill perceived.
For refuge unseen, words not believed, and visions overlooked
the spirit grows weary and doubtful.
Tired of searching for help, a soul is jaded.
