Labour and Fight On
Friends labor on though the road be rough,
Fight on though the battle be tough;
It is man's life duty on task to labor,
For peace of mind and pleasure of heart to harbor.
Labor and fight on for more to understand,
And much of use to hold by the hand;
It is a persistent laborer who keeps the fight on,
That subdues the enemy and takes over the throne.
Soldiers fasten your belts and on and on march,
Sail on across oceans though winds may struggle much;
keep tight the fight, there the way to go,
Your high esteem let nothing pull low.
Ye go up mountain tops and again down valleys,
Stepping on rocks and jumping over gullies;
When tired and hungry you may rest a while,
Yet forget not thy duty, lest you forever wail.
Friends there we go and the enemy we face,
Get set him we slay and our rights trace;
Though darker may get the front, be on task day and night,
At the end of the tunnel we must see bright light.
