Neglect--Part-One
It began the Day we Met. .Within the Place of Junior High
Behind the closed Doors of a Room Filled with Books
Flourished in Mystical Wonder. .
Knowing of the Cold Secrets that would
Seep through the Edges of my Soul. .
I kept myself Astray from others,
Limiting who I may let in as a Friend,
For if One were to Stare Long enough into my Existence. .
The Pain which Lurks Heavily Within my Eyes. .
They would see.
A Long Time Friend became an acception for the
Reason that His Heart seemed to fit Perfectly with Mine. .
While the Love Between us. .Felt so Sweet from the Start. .
And even if I Wished to Avoid it,
I came to Realize that I Truly could not Find a Moment
In my Life that would be Sweeter. .
His Name was Known to be Kasou.
Although, behind these Closed Doors, I Spotted a Figure Sauntering my Way,
From the Corner of my Eye. .as She would
Sit in the Empty Chair Aside Mine.
She Glanced over at the Novel I was Reading as She would Lean in Near. .
Not taking Notice that She was Hovering over me,
I Remembered this Girl from a Class we Shared.
At Times I Heard Her Whispers toward the Desk Below. .
Or I would See Her Head Quiver Constantly from the Corner of my Eye,
As the Large Glasses She Wore would dangle about Her Face
To Show of Interest in something Significant. .
Often, I Found this Humorous.
But as Time Passed Within the Place of our Meeting. .
She had Wondered for the Reason of my Isolation
To the Ones around me.
She Questioned in a way of Gentleness. .
As if to be Cautious with Her Choice of Words.
In that Moment I Knew She had already seen the Sorrow which
Bleeds through to me Endlessly. .
And I had no Ways of Locking Her out.
