About Raindrops and Water Cycle

.

                                                    I saw it falling
as a drop of summer rain
                                                    and it was puddle
then it raised to fall again
not in a broken floor tile

If you need help, soup mailed me... : )

Ruben, I truly think my comments are on all of your poems already. haha. Thanks for your comment. Dodoitsu is really a nice form. It's very similar to tanka!! I have grown very fond of all these short forms since coming to soup. Probably where I have seen my most growth in poetry. Yours are so nice too. I have not ever seen your valentine tanka because I do not want to know whose I am looking at. I sure hope you finally revised it . I printed them all out for later reading earlier this evening! Luv, Andrea

This is reminiscent of a stark black and white photograph a la Ansel Adams. Spare and stark. Your versatility continues, Reuben. Regards, Gerard.

weird...I know I commented on this gem? anyhow, I don't mind reading this again, Ruben :)-- this sure is unique and I just enjoyed how you used rain and the water cycle as a metaphor for something deeper here-- enjoyed the image of that puddle rising then falling again-- nikko :)

Marvellous Tanka, Ruben! Me ecantaba leerlo hoy al mediodía, my friend. What you commented on "Arrendajo" is true. I just followed the rules of a Tanka (5-7-5...7-7) so I had to change the Spanish version. Please feel free to correct my Spanish in any case si lo quieres! And here on Soup. I do appreciate your ongoing kind comments and have a great week! Chao mi amigo!....Gert

Ohhhh maaan, you just keep them rolling out. I can't keep up. NO I'M NOT 80, JUST 74 --HA! What's the difference. Like I say. I'm alive today. That's all I care about. Well, concerning that subject, anyway. Charles

My dear Ruben, you should be the "pail" to catch this rain, if not the pail, then whatever it takes to absorb it... after prayers, follow your heart..Always, your friend, Audrey

There is a sadness in this poem, Ruben. Try to catch her before she falls, okay? I think she is counting on you being there for her. Much love, Carolyn
