Breathes

Breathes
2010

2010 long way from the 1950’s, early years
A stranger to the time
Widen oz, here I come
Ripping through wonderful passage
Awaken
First breath, March 25, 1977

Born a sinner, catholic scriptures
Passages misunderstood, misinterpret
Finding ways into my early years
Place upon me, the leader a man
Followers, believers
You, her, me; how can he understand?
Trinity
Three times baptized
Sins immunized

Confessions, the duties of catholic followers
My must at a young age
Not knowing better
For my amusement, fables narrated
Lies I told to the one who I must confess to
Teenage years rage
No more, no longer my friend
White man on cross be gone
You took with no explanation
You didn’t even console me
There I stand
Refusing, forced I went
Skin shed
Second breath, March 16, 1991
Early, middle twenties I am
Without consideration, thoughts I launched
Long infatuation, my first
Sinner I have become
Sins my home
Indulging, second conquest
Younger than I by a few years
Silk like skin, imposter is she
Still my gain
Discovery of old, nothing new
She lays next to me
Knowing my history, she reached
Soft her skin
With every touch, energy runs through
Mutual understanding
Happiness
Trinity
Third time the charm
Reborn
Third breath, November 6, 2005
