A Letter to God

Sometimes I wonder
How I'm going
To repay you.
In my mind, I define you.
I get it wrong.
I redefine myself
And get it right,
But there are still questions.
There are always questions,
And there will always be questions.
That is life.
Is it okay?
It doesn't matter.

You still ride high.
Your wings wield an essence
Pure of heart.
Your soul is wise, understanding,
Strong and broadening
With every changing horizon.
Your love is undying;
It lets me breathe
New air
As you grow closer.

Have I ever told you
How beautiful you are?
That the air which holds you
Carries a light for the blind.

Through darkness, we triumph.
We glisten.
You highlight my retrospective vision,
Distilling my line of sight
With happiness,
And you strengthen my will by the hour.
Let it be known
That I adore you.
I adore this world.
I adore everything.

I am like a cell
That brings the body oxygen,
And you are the heart.
