Glatisant beast

Pellinore or Palomides,
am I your glatisant beast;
the obsession
of a ceaseless hunt?

Elusive and untamed,
I run where the earth
does not question my motives
nor the moon
keep record of my faults.

    Palomides or some other variant) is a Knight of the Round Table in the Arthurian legend. He is a Saracen pagan who converts to Christianity....wow you packed alot of "lore" into one verse and I who love Aurterian Legend have never heard of any of it (blush) Perhaps you'd like my verse Above Desire?

    King Pellinore is the king of Listenoise "the Isles" ,possibly Anglesey. According to the Arthurian legend. He is most famous for his endless hunt of the Questing Beast, which he is tracking when King Arthur first meets him. Pellinore beats King Arthur after three jousts and breaks the sword Arthur had withdrawn from the stone (in some versions this is Excalibur, though he gets another sword of that name from the Lady of the Lake soon after.

    The Questing Beast, or the Beast Glatisant (Barking Beast), is a monster from Arthurian legend, the subject of quests by famous knights like King Pellinore, Sir Palamedes, and Sir Percival..hmmmm

    Thvia, you wrote a nice tribute on escaping domestic violence here. It is very possible that I missed some of the deeper meanings, but I most enjoyed reading this~Chris
