Infatuation

In deep awareness, I drowned into dreaming in the velvet sky,
Liberated from well defined fantasy to find truth in love.
A twist from one commotion to another hanging above,
Her wild smile declared reality through my hazel eyes.
I scowled to stop her for her tease,
But she faded from the scene with speed.
To avenge these cracked ribs in overwhelming reality,
Ruthlessly, I smother this fantasy.

Yearning for our new togetherness,
Will she consider me above her likeness?
She beclouds me with ravening emotion
Deeper within, I was inflamed with infatuation

It is love that rejects all known breakthrough;
I am seeking divine ways to make a happy view.

    Infatuations can lead to much fantasy -- the "what ifs" in life. It's good you are "seeking divine ways" to find happiness. Many times infatuations can lead to heartache. Very moving poem, Adalene! Love, Carolyn
