About This Poem

Uncle Sam We Need You

Once Mary had a little lamb
Uncle Sam gave her a hand
Helping her to expand her band
Until it filled all of her land

Now today we beg for help
For jobs, food and our health
They shrug their shoulders about our cause
Go off and make more laws

Uncle Sam might be evicted for Karl Marx if the present trend continues.
