The girl’s beauty was her entitlement.
As she was born only human,
Was she not designed to embrace what God had pre-selected for her?
On any occasion,
She would stare in her mirror,
Lost in her own eyes.
Lost in a world of vanity.
That one-day age would deprive her of her youth.
Every minute spent in that mirror,
Was another minute taken away from her.
A prophet came to her one day.
To put some sense and hope in her naughty little head,
But she took no heed.
Constantly, staring her beautiful self down in the eye.
So in hindsight, perhaps she should have torn herself away.
