Dear old farmer Jones,
Not much meat but only bones.
He once said to his son,
“Joel, When I am gone,
Do not and never be a nuisance,
Stop jumping over the fence,
Or sitting on the dog,
Don't play with the fog,
Never touch the goldfish,
Or worse, cook it as a dish!'
Joel stared blankly,
“Huh? What again?”
Jones heard it and nearly did faint.
He repeated another time.
“What is siponculousidime?”
Joel innocently cried.
Jones got so very angry.
He could have boiled the sea.
He screamed and ran out of the house.
Sadly, tripping over a mouse.
He fell on the floor.
Boom! The car hit him with its door.
Jones lay there, kind of dead.
With all this said, Joel was still a little confused.
Of course, he was a little amused.
His dead father could not scold or talk.
His dad was a stiff as a rock.
Joel laughed and went back to his home,
Held his hair and gave it a comb.
He slept on the bed, just like a log.
At the bottom of the bed lay his dog.
