My scars will be here forever, but I won’t let them affect me.
They are a part of my beauty, my soul.
Sometimes I resent them.
But they remind me of the fear I have faced and overcome in the years I have lived.
At times I wonder what life would be like, if my path had been different…
But then I know I wouldn’t be who I am today.
You can love me for my face, for my features, but that is not love at all.
I’d rather you love me for my soul and the things I have done and will do in this life.
A heart can be cold, but mine never is.
And I hope it never will be.
