.:Her Father’s Story:.Enigma:.

She Journeyed to Her Desert-like home
To see Her Father along with
Her Older Brother.
The Only One she had
Met Three Years Past,
In the Place that Flows of Limited Stardust.
The three of them
Drove to a Mountain side,
During Sunset.
Her Father would Light a Fire to see
In the Night while all
Spoke of a Story Together.
She Sit aside Her Brother on a Broken log,
Resting Her head Lightly on
His Shoulder as their Father would
Begin to Tell them a Story.
First, He would Tell Her of how
She so much Resembled
Her Mother’s Beautiful Appearance
In the Years of Her Growth
Through Present Time.
She was now at Near End on
Her Adolescent Years.

~He said that Once He was a bit Younger than Her,
He was Always to be kept Under Surveillance
For the amount of Damage He would Commit
On those who Tormented the
Ones Dear to Him.
His Reason was Never Poor.
Very few Held Faith in Him though,
This was more out of the Act of Misjudging.
Then there was Her Mother,
She was too Kind, He would Say.
And Considered Him of any
Human Being with Feelings.
He Reminisced Speaking to Her as if
He Knew Her the Day they had Met.
He was Near to giving in to the
Thoughts others around Him would Utter on
His Actions they would Call Mad,
Until that Day Reached.
This Time he was Saved by another,
Not through Violence,
But through the Essence of Genuine Love.
Once He was at tad Younger than
His Daughter’s Age,
The Birth of Her Older Brother was Known.
He Said He Remembered how their
Mother Cried that Day,
As if She could See Right through to the Son
That She wanted to Help Nourish and Grow,
Knowing that He would be Sent to a
Family that may do a Superior Job,
They were Only too Young
And She Longed for Him to be in a
Better Place. .
Though a Piece will Forever
Continue to Hurt Inside.
Her Mother Remained Aside Her, Always,
Never did She Think of Her Daughter Differently,
Each Day She would Tell Her,
“It is your choice to make.”
At the Campfire, Her Father would Portray of this.
How Her Parents did not Part,
But by this, at their Once Young Age.
They Discovered their Bond Growing Stronger. ~

And just as a Mother can see Right through
To Her Son,
A Father can see through to His Daughter.
He Knew something had Happened,
That was Held at a Rest for now. .
And it was Terribly on Her Mind. .
Terribly on Her Mind. .

Wonderful write! I envy you your journey. I have and I suspect I never will experience the pleasure of the comaraderie that seems to permeate your story which by the way is told better than well enough. I am a loner, unfortunately self mandated. Patty

I meant from the last two lines, terribly on her mind, repeated. It seemed ominous when you said, "He knew something had happened" well, nice to see you here this afternoon. I REALLY got behind here at Soup and am trying so hard to catch up now and see all the contests, etc. geeez, will I ever get caught up? haha. LUv, andrea
