Five and Fifty

When I was two and twenty
The lassies were abundantly plenty
And dance all night long
Was not the name of a song
But something we all did aplenty,

Then there came three and thirty
The women became much more flirty
And all knew my name
For I was king of my game
And I never did anyone dirty.

Next I turned four and forty
And I started to gain much seniority
The men called me Sir
And all the ladies would purr
For I was a man of authority.

Now that I'm five and fifty
My game has turned a bit shifty
The ladies are few
I need my dentures to chew
And my dancing is done in a jiffy!

Tim, your flirty humor shines through with this one. Love the advancing age idea that takes you through the different stages with the ladies. :) :) :)

LOL! Very funny! SAD but funny 'cause I know all bout that dancing part - need to sit down after hoofing it up for only 30 seconds. And yup, that's me, grandma of poor grammar! And thanks my friend for the congrats! Keep it up with that keen wit of yours! Patty

A very humorous poem. Nice observations I enjoyed. Don't forget to write when two and sixty
