my sweet
i have come across many things in life,
but i shall not take a step past you
you hold me back from the terrors of the world,
to take me in as if i was a childlike girl
the days grow cold and i miss your touch,
but you don't keep me waiting for a surprise
that is why i wake everyday with a smile,
knowing you must be close by
with all that is good in the world,
you embrace me with a hug
kiss my sweet lips and linger,
then look to my eyes with a broad smile
