Uopened eyes(co-written with Sara Kendrick)

Cats on roof in snow
Sentinels watching looking
Without open eyes

                   The jet flies, the governor's
                   course set to adultery.

Cat slips on frozen
Snow, claws grip the edge, below
A fire awaits..... fate

                   Death takes the pilot,
                   In midair the governor
                   Yearns...jet burst apart

Cat's grip is weak claws strip falls
Clings to governor's carcass

Taxpayer's buy a
New plane, and ex-wife's dreams flow...
Arid flames still scorch!

Cowritten with Sara Kendrick. Rengay form, thanks Mom it has been fun!!

Especially like the closing, daughter. If I had another go I would have Congress to come up with a fireproof cover to you know where... the politicians entance...you know they'll get to the one for everyone else next session. Mom

Wow! You and Sara work marvelously together. I really like the way this poem takes us back and forth from the rooftop cats to the adulterous governor. And so clever of you to add that the taxpayers end up footing the bill. Love, Carolyn
