An ode to old friends forgotten and made invisible

the past is a ringing bell
the people... stale sirens
the present feels an uncertain hell
there's no dark shadows to hide in
the lurid unknown awaits vacant and pale
The path to take undecided

the past is a ringing bell, a deafening thought
old friends unfit for this new world i saw
the faces, the talks, the ideologies... all things i've outgrown
I wish broken slumber in the far, foreign, unknown
We'll forget each other easy as the days move swift
I'll quietly make leave so you'll forget I exist
