About This Poem

Painting Hue and Me

If I could paint a memory
It would have all the colors of you
warm splashes of tenderness
and a moon surrounded in a purple hue

If I could paint loneliness
I would color it blue and gray
Just the way I miss you
On each cloudy rainy day

If I could paint sadness
It would be full of tears and doubt
Roses so red with thorns
That pierce the heart inside out

If I could paint my feelings for you
I would see it as a kaleidoscope
of rainbows beaming gold and silver
to find its way on the winds of hope
