Abandonment

Empty miles of unlimited distance
Is were it all begins

Abandonment relinquishes any
Hopes or dreams you’ll ever have
Deep from within

Being deserted leaves the
Devastated ones behind

And the reality of loneliness
Is mental torture all of the time

Constant aches and pain do
Physically devour the forsaken

And having absolutely nothing
Left in the end is what’s been taken.
