Guard Duty

Even though these stars, in all their sparkling heart stopping beauty
Pinpoint the sheer black blanket on guard duty
On this amazement of a night
They hold no comparison, their candles are snuffed out.
They are but murky shadows, within the darkest blackout
They become ashamed, bottom lips they make a pout
Holding no court next to your dazzle and razzamatazzle
Their brilliance has no worth
And then, they become embarrased
That they had the affront to dare shine while your beauty walked the earth

wow, that is a vivid poem reminding me of something Shakespeare might say in today's world to a rare beauty!
