Storms Are Not Forever

Winds may split your wrist,
Hail may bruise your frame
While you lose your way in mist,
Remember my child,
Storms are not forever

Money may not come,
Landlords may make threats
While you feed your family with crumbs,
remember my child,
Storms are not forever

You may be aged,
Fear playing hopscotch on the edge of your thoughts
Afraid of the next page,
Remember my child,
Storms are not forever

When all else fails that seems clever,
Rest weary and cry your tears, however
Remember my child,
Storms are not forever
