Dad

He has gone away...
When I look for him I see...
Nothing but green grass.

Green grass on the grave, I assume, but you will see him again, one day Ashlee. Sincerely, Moses

Thanks to you all! This haiku means a great deal to me, what it symbolizes.....and what it makes the reader feel. Yes, fewer words can sometimes deliver a much more meaningful message. In this case, the goal was to make the readers mind jump around, only quickly to come to a very harsh, cold reality. Glad you all enjoyed.

Wow! Shocking third line, Ashlee. How did you do it? It's a hit of emotion, of sorrow....Terribly raw...It's going to my favs! Excellent job! Ruben.
