Gone with the winds that tenderly blow
The time has come for you to go
I now shall stand awaiting this time
When emotions disperse like flakes of snow

To become a memory is somehow queer
For it now all appears so near
And an instant shall come for it all to fade
Into a night that at dawn shall disappear

Sorrow has kept me lying awake
Yearning to find perhaps a mistake
For desire leeches upon my heart
Provoking a feeling of an agonizing ache

In the throes of a sorrow so profoundly deep
A paroxysm urges my eyes to weep
Yet on the morrow I shall move ahead
I shall leap… I shall leap…

leap of faith should get you past the paroxysm. I have memories of this type of longing. Desire always leeches on the heart, especially if it's a desire for something intangible you know deep down you can't have. All the more tantalizing.

This is a well written Rhyme, Farrah. I especially like the first stanza. Keep writing. Sara My poem about the nine foot tall slim mysterious is a shadow of me before a cloud blocks the sun but also it is an allegory I'll let you guess on that. Sara

And now you're drowning in sorrow over a lost love. That's what you get, Farah, for not heeding my advice not to have a boyfriend as you're too young yet! Now pick yourself up and leap, yes leap right straight into your books and homeworks that you neglected doing because you were always too busy going on dates to the malls in Dubai with your no good ex-boyfriend! Anyway, you'll get over him. Meanwhile, Ramadan Mubarak. Regards, Fred (PS Next time don't disappear on me again!)
