Little Runaway

Momma never treated you right honey
did she never hold you late at night
Did momma never say that she loved ya
or did she just stay far away from ya darlin

Oh the things in your life
they fill ya with stryfe
the pain cuts like a knife
and things just don't feel right

Well leave this place behind
and set ease to that mind girl
Pack your bags up and get on your way
hope they will love you better some day

Now you're on the run
and the world is holding a gun
at your pretty little head now
but fear not, you keep runnin' on til you reach that mornin' sun

No one can tell you what to do
or how you're gonna feel
this is your life now sugar
it's your turn behind the steering wheel

Ain't no time, to doubt yourself little girl
It's gonna be fine, just take your time
Keep your head on your shoulders
you're already acting a little older girl

So keep runnin'
Runnin'
So keep runnin'
Runnin Runnin runnin'

Straight home to me
