Beauty's Garden

Wilting flower -- weary of praise,
sheds her petals in dry bouquets,
and so she sleeps as beauty must
so love can blossom from her dust.

 Melting now in searing weather,
beauty brings their hearts together.
Lovers grow as beauty hardens--
beneath the sun, amidst her gardens.

From morn till noon, from noon to night,
the ardent captives -- holding tight.
In her garden, here they roam;
in beauty's garden, now their home.

    This is such a lovely rhyme, Celeste. The imagery and flow are excellent. (Have you seen the blogs about End Line Word" poetry form? There's a contest, too. )Lovingly, Dane Ann
