Unknown Friendship

Woke up today feeling numb,
My heart was in the deepest pain,
Didn't know where it was coming from yet,
I know one thing that was there,
I was wrong about my friends who I thought I can truly trusted best,
Yet I know someone who will always be there,
And watch over me from high above,
I wish I could see Him and come to Him as a child,
I am not embarrassed to talk my emotions out my heart,
My friendship has disappeared for those who lie,
Several times without thinking that I can see,
I am not deaf, blind and I can hear what you may think I don't,
I will never trust anybody by my first glance,
I will test my friends and there true friendship,
I call this an unknown friendship.

Yes, even when we feel like we have a friend to rely on, the Man Upstairs will always be there for us, this is a fine piece of work, keep more coming

Interesting expression of your feelings in this Free Verse. Pure Friendship is so valuable nowadays. Thank you for your comment. The title Santa Monica refers to Santa Monica, California - a place were I used to live.

Broken friendship, does indeed leave a hurt inside the heart, but we must learn to trust in the one above to mend this hurt, Sincerely Moses
