the burning oak and cedar,
           a fiery inferno,
torched the wooded neighborhood

Ed this Haiku is very well written and also very profound for it speaks volumes of sad truth - Thank you for your kind comment on my Haiku - It means the world to me coming from you - May your day be blessed, MJ

I like this one. Not the regular 5,7,5 syllables, but still it's a very well penned haiku. Great job, Ed! Ruben.

Wildfires torch the beautiful trees, then nature replenishes such beauty to an even more beautiful scene, nice work...Raul

Powerful use of this concise form. Sad reality sometimes. Good use of imagery. Karen

Nice Haiku. That is the way it has been with some of the wild fires in different places. It is really sad for the loss of lives, nature, and property. Sara
